I began my career in Primary Education as a Montessori Stage 2 Directress in California for 2 years, then moved to Wollongong where I taught for 7 years at Elonera Montessori School. I was first introduced to the OSHC environment whilst completing my Honours Degree in Fine Arts at the National Art School. In my spare time I love painting, spending time with Family & friends, expanding my culinary skills, traveling, yoga & escaping in a good book.
All that aside, after being in the industry for over 7, I can easily say that what I look forward to the most in my job is the curious, enchanting, thought provoking & delightful conversations I have with the children on a daily basis.
Assistant Coordinator/Educational Leader
Hello! My name is Louise. I have been working in Child Care for the past 28 years, with 18 years of that time being an Educator at Connells Point BASC. In 2019 I became the Assistant Coordinator & Educational Leader of the service. I enjoy engaging in the planned & spontaneous activities with the children, watching the children grow & building relationships with all the families of Connells Point BASC community.
At the end of the day my goal is to have made a difference in each child’s life & for them to take the good memories they have from CPBASC with them into their future
Hi! I’m Kate and I am currently in my 4th year of working with the wonderful children at Connells Point BASC. I attended Connells Point Public School and BASC as a student and love working here even more. I am also undertaking a degree in Bachelor of Education (Primary) at University, where I continue to develop my skills in childrens’ education and well-being. I enjoy getting creative and having fun with the children here at BASC, ensuring our activities target their interests, as well as encouraging them to be as original as possible with all of our activities!
Feel free to come say Hi!
