We are located within the school grounds and provide a safe, loving, fun and healthy environment for children from 7am until school time, and after school until 6pm.

 

While the centre caters for children within Connells Point Public School, families from outside the school community may utilize the service if they are able to arrange transport and if places are available.

 

Staff

Connells Point BASC is a community-based Before and After-School centre, overseen by a volunteer parent Committee. We employ experienced and qualified staff who provide quality care for the children. The service complies with the Working with Children Check as required by the Commission for Children and Young People and has a staff ratio of 1 staff member to 15 children.

 

Our team works beautifully together to ensure that your child is safe, cared for and has a wonderful time at our centre!

 

Program

We provide an ever-changing program that is based on the current interests of the children attending. Our program includes physical activities with plenty of opportunity for outdoor play, as well as a full and varied indoor program. We are well-resourced, and the children have a huge variety of activities and games from which to choose, including arts and crafts, board games, creative, dramatic and fine motor play. 

 

Food

Breakfast is offered to the children around 8am each day. An afternoon tea is provided around 4pm. Our menu is seasonal, provides variety and promotes healthy eating. We cater for children with special food requirements and allergies.

 

 

Every child who attends must have a completed Enrolment form. Please download from our main page and return it to the centre with your payment. Priority is given to working parents or those seeking work and parents studying for work purposes. These priories are set by the commonwealth government.

We also require a copy of the following

• Birth certificate

• Immunization record

• Any relevant custody orders

 

Casual Care

If you require Casual Care throughout the year, you will need to provide us with an enrolment form for the year. This means that if you need care on an ad hoc basis or stuck in traffic and late to pick up your child from school on the odd occasion, you can simply call us and arrange for them to come to after school care until you arrive.

If you have booked casual care for your child and no longer require it you will need to cancel by 9pm the day before, if you booked before school care, or by 9am the morning of after school care if you required basc to avoid being charged.

 

Fees

The centre is a community service that operates on a non-profit basis.

Annual Registration fee: $30 (GST free) per child, $50 (GST free) per family

Before school care: $18 (GST free) per session

Before school care (Casual) rates: $20 (GST free) per session

After school care: $23 (GST free) per session

After school care (Casual) rates: $25 (GST free) per session

 

Late collection of a child: $2 per minute, per child, which will be issued to your account.

Payment of Fees

Fees are to be paid fortnightly in advance for permanent bookings and daily for casual bookings.

Payment of fees is by direct debit only. This is to be completed as part of the enrolment.

Where fees are more than four weeks in arrears, a child’s place at the centre may be cancelled and action is taken to recover the debt. If you are having difficulty paying your fees please speak to the coordinator as soon as possible to arrange a solution.
